Howard University is thrilled to announce the next 2025 Gwendolyn S. and Colbert I. King Endowed Chair in Public Policy event will take place on Wednesday, March 26 beginning at 6pm. We hope you enjoyed the last event! The event is titled The First 100 Days: Method or Madness and will delve into the complex and multifaceted nature of the president’s “First 100 Days” from the vantage point of two women who have been in “the room where it happened”. Mr. Steele will host Sarah Matthews former Deputy Press Secretary to President Donald Trump and Olivia Troye, former Homeland Security and Counterterrorism advisor to Vice President Mike Pence.

Michael Steele has a distinguished career in politics and public service. He was the first African American to serve as the chair of the Republican National Committee (RNC) from 2009 to 2011. Steele also served as the lieutenant governor of Maryland from 2003 to 2007. His leadership and insights have made significant impacts on public policy and political discourse.
