Black Men Come Together to Discuss Health Disparities on WHUT
“For Our Brothers: A Candid Conversation on Black Men's Health” is a one-hour special produced by WHUT/Howard University Television in partnership with the Howard University Cancer Center. The program features a discussion with a diverse group of Black men, addressing a wide variety health issues and concerns that historically Black men have not been willing to openly discuss.
This candid conversation focuses on three areas: mental health, aging, and trust in the healthcare system. You will hear perspectives from the male participants, as well as, healthcare professionals, cancer warriors, as well as cancer advocates.
The program premieres on WHUT/ Howard University Television, at 8pm Monday, June 17th and will air multiple times throughout the month. There will also be a special screening of the program during Howard University’s Cancer Center’s annual Men’s Health Conference, being held at Howard University Hospital on Saturday, June 29th.
