WHUT Celebrates HBCU Week with a Slate of Programs Highlighting the HBCU Experience
WHUT is excited to announce its celebration of HBCU Week from September 16-20, 2024. This special week will feature a series of programs that highlight the rich history, culture, and contributions of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Join us as we honor the legacy and impact of HBCUs through compelling stories and documentaries.

HBCU Week is a celebration of the profound impact that Historically Black Colleges and Universities have had on our society. It is a time to reflect on the rich history, culture, and contributions of these institutions, and to honor the legacy and impact they continue to have.
Sean Plater, General Manager of WHUT, shared his enthusiasm: “HBCU Week is a time to celebrate the profound impact that Historically Black Colleges and Universities have had on our society. We are proud to present a lineup of programs that showcase the achievements and stories of these institutions.”
Angie Ange, Director of Content at WHUT, added: “We have curated a diverse slate of programs that not only educate but also inspire. Our goal is to bring the HBCU experience to life for our viewers and highlight the incredible contributions of these institutions.”
